To receive reimbursement of 80% of your prescription medication expenses, bring or mail your prescription medication receipts to us.
If your doctor prescribes you medication that you buy at a pharmacy (drug store), then save all of your receipts (to prove how much money you spent). Then, mail or deliver your prescription medication receipts to us, so we can send them by certified mail to the appropriate auto insurance company (which must reimburse you for 80% of your prescription medication expenses after the deductible amount is met). The insurance company will not advance you money up front to use to buy your prescription medications. So, you must first use your own money to buy your prescription medications, and then deliver your receipts to us to get 80% of your money back. The insurance company will not reimburse you for 80% of your prescription medication expenses for (up to) thirty (30) days after they receive your prescription receipts. So do not delay. If (like most people) you have a $1,000.00 deductible that applies to your medical bill, wage loss, mileage, or yard and house work claims, you will not receive any checks for reimbursement of 80% of your prescription medication expenses for several weeks, because it takes that long for 80% of your other medical expenses to exceed the $1,000.00 deductible amount. Once that happens, you usually get reimbursed for 80% of your prescription medication expenses right away. Your insurance rates will not go up because of your prescription medication reimbursement claim (unless you were at fault). Florida Law # 626.9541 (o)(3)(4)(5). We do not charge you a fee for this. Our fees are based on the amount of any settlement later in the case.
