Do's and Don'ts

Conclusion For Which Auto Insurance Is The Best Overall To Use For Your Vehicle Claim.

So, if you have "collision" insurance on your own auto insurance policy, and if it is important to you to get your car repaired or paid for quickly and fully (except for any applicable deductible), then use your own collision auto insurance for that purpose (even though you were not at fault, and even if you have a deductible).  Later, the insurance company on the other side will pay your insurance company back, and the other side will also pay you back the full amount of your deductible (unless you were at fault).  So in the end, all the vehicle claim money still comes from the other side anyway (unless you were at fault).  Your insurance rates will not increase for using your own auto insurance to pay for the repairs or for the total loss (sale) of  your vehicle (unless you were at fault).  Florida Law # 626.9541 (o)(3)(4)(5).  We do not charge you a fee for this unless we file a lawsuit over it.  Our fees are based on the amount of any settlement later in the case.
