Reason 3 (Choice of Doctor)
Further, if you use regular (non-auto) medical insurance or similar government benefits to pay your medical bills, you are usually forced to go to a particular insurance company doctor (or doctors). But, by using auto insurance to pay your medical bills, you can choose any doctor you want. Because you have the right to choose any doctor when you use auto insurance to pay your medical bills, you can avoid finding yourself under the "care" of insurance company doctors who are frequently paid in such a way so as to force the doctor to be more concerned with increasing the profits of the insurance company (in which profits the doctor shares with the insurance company), than with your medical needs (and certainly, your case). Not only do insurance company doctors often render sub-standard medical care (compared to a truly independent doctor), but because they work for the insurance industry, they are much more likely to destroy your eligibility to receive payment from the insurance industry for your injuries (compared to a truly independent doctor).
