Do's and Don'ts

How long will it take?

Usually about 90 days after your doctor provides us with the final, special (post-discharge) medical report (see paragraph # 53).  When your doctor discharges you from medical care, call and notify us.  We will then order the final special (post-discharge) medical report and all other papers from all of your doctors.  Sadly, sometimes it takes weeks for the doctors (and hospitals, ambulances, etc.) to provide us these necessary papers.  Once we have received the final special (post-discharge) medical report and all of the other papers from all of your doctors, we will send them to the other side (along with a written "demand" for payment).  After we send the "demand" to the other side, they have 30 days to study and analyze all of your doctor's medical papers and to review our "demand" for payment.  Most cases settle within the following 60 days.  For a full understanding of how long it will take, read the section below.
