No. To avoid misunderstandings, we do not make oral estimates (over the telephone or in person) of the amount of "profit" you will clear from your settlement check after all of your expenses are paid.  We only provide that information to you in writing (so that we are not misunderstood or misquoted).  The exact amount of any settlement money you will have left over after deduction for lawyer fees, reimbursement of legal costs, medical bills (or repayment of medical insurance or government benefits) will appear on the detailed written ("closing") statement that you will review, approve and sign at the end of your case.  That statement is the one and only way that we advise you on the amount of money you will receive after all expenses.
