From today until your case is closed, keep a diary of your day-to-day activities. Write down all of your activities, but be especially sure to write down the things you did solely (especially) because of the accident (ex: went to MRI center, picked up prescriptions at the pharmacy, went to physical therapy, returned rental car, etc.). Describe your pain, if any, every day. Also, write down things you could not do because of the accident (ex: could not go to work, could not go on vacation, etc.) Describe the effect of your injuries on your personal, family, and work life. Describe the activities that your injuries prevented you from doing, or that you had trouble doing, because of your pain or your physical limitations. Be specific. Describe the names of people you were with, the addresses of the places where you went, the telephone numbers of people you talked to by telephone, and the times of day of each activity. Be complete. Be truthful. Be factual. Do not dramatize or exaggerate. That will only hurt your credibility (believability) later.
